nChina Times editorial, 2022-10-6: Taiwan's epidemic prevention center is reluctant to decompile because it can take related materials by expropriation methods to avoid
procurement law& regulations. Masks, nucleic acids, vaccines, medicines, almost every item shows traces of corruption, but all are "legal corruption" (對防疫物資利用徵用手段,
避開採購法規。幾乎每一項都能看出貪瀆的痕跡,但都拿指揮中心沒辦法,因為每一項都是合法貪瀆。).

WSWS.org, 2022-6-30: Taiwan experiencing one of the worst COVID-19 outbreaks in the world wsws.org/en/articles/2022/06/30/fcwb-j30.html
The corporate media has hailed Taipei’s actions as part of the agenda of placing profits before lives...Given the increased use of the more unreliable rapid antigen tests in Taiwan, it is almost certain that the actual number of cases is much higher...Taiwan Falsely claimed that 99.5 percent of cases were mild or asymptomatic... in the words of the Guardianin May, Taipei feels it can lift restrictions, while drawing a false equivalence between virus elimination measures and authoritarianism.

GT, 2022-6-10:  "The handling of outbreak also proved that Taiwan's medical and health facilities are inadequate and cannot take care of a large number of patients at the same time, which is completely inconsistent with Taiwan's claim that it has advanced medical and health infrastructure,""In any place where a public health crisis was so badly handled and people's lives were treated carelessly with no respect, the authorities should resign."   globaltimes.cn/page/202206/1267806.shtml

◆ Washington Post, 2022-6-2: In our survey, 68 percent of respondents agree with the statement that “COVID-19 is a national security threat.” A lower figure (56 percent) perceives “the risk of getting COVID in the next 3 months” as being high for them personally.  ...a poll this week found that 70 percent of Taiwanese wanted the government to retain stricter border control policies.    washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/06/02/taiwan-covid-relaxed-border-policy/

nIn Canada, for example, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said he has no problem waiting for his shot. there’s a lot of vulnerable people who need to get these vaccines much quicker than I will, and we’re going to make sure that they get it first
n Republican Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky, 57, argued that members of Congress, particularly those who are under 65 years of age and in good health, shouldn’t get the shots ahead of old people and health-care workers.
nSen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) tweeted. “because I’m healthy & relatively young, I’m going to wait until seniors & frontline workers have the opportunity to take it first."

nIn Europe, a top army general in Spain and local mayors in Austria were accused of having jumped the queue for shots.

nSpanish princesses Elena and Christina –  have faced anger after it emerged they obtained jabs i... The princesses, who are aged in their 50s, are not yet entitled to vaccines under Spain’s rollout

nPeru’s health and foreign ministers quit and its former president was placed under criminal investigation after reports of hundreds of Peruvian officials and others receiving vaccine doses outside of clinical trials and before the national immunization program began.

nThe World Bank’s threat to suspend funding in response to queue-jumping in Lebanon

nArgentina’s health minister also stepped down after reports that at least 10 people had been able to use connections to jump the queue for vaccines, including a journalist who said he had received an early shot after approaching the minister for help.
