台灣最門面的建築 :
過去國外記者還稱呼台城市外觀為「
災難」(disaster)。
2002年台灣居然有大報刊重要學者論文 <容許抄襲的藝術>說 : 「
建築沒有著作權」、抄襲就是「人文主義精神 」
，對於「獨創風格」，「 我們如何消受的了」
!?
台灣建築是否大都拘謹又boring? 有多少如<Seed
Cathedral>般的自由呢?
Taipei 101 看來過於平淡、普通、簡單、無聊、粗糙甚至醜陋，它運用西方美學的元素如對比、和諧、漸變、反覆、統一、韻律等等的功力，不如馬來西亞的雙子星大樓與上海的凱悅(Shanghai's Grand Hyatt)
。

國際競圖原意是希望帶動台灣建築師創作力，但後來在執行面出現不少問題，最普遍的就是國外建築師不熟悉台灣歷史、地理，就把既有想法塞進來。尤其，國際競圖機制往往埋著國內建築師與國外相比的兩大不平等條約。各級政府國際競圖時，為吸引國外建築師，將設計費率提高二、三倍至百分之十三起跳，更可議的是，近年又冒出「變相國際標」，鼓勵國內建築師事務所找國外建築師設計，若獲選，設計費就可從原一般造價費的百分之四到五，略增到百分之六點二，評分總分還可加分。建築界痛批把國內建築師當「文化買辦、仲介」。)

近年，台灣最「
利多」的設計 :「
好神公仔」，是根源於人民的保庇迷信(88%大學生信有鬼)、愛財。所謂Q化設計，僅是將神明外型簡化為小可愛吉祥物 (如<迪斯尼>採嬰孩
或孩童身體比例、簡化手指數目等)，相對的，
國際級的神明設計就聰明巧妙多了。例如:

2012年9月8日:台灣沒人才?北美館「威尼斯雙年展」徵選 ―
3位參展藝術家居然其中2位是外籍藝術家，藝術界嘩然。
亞洲國家滿懷雄心壯志，2008年9月就有8個雙年展在亞太主要城市揭幕。各國都想「彰顯國族」兼「城市行銷」。
台灣2008年二月舉行 <亞洲藝術雙年展> ，就以台灣大報刊登最大的一幅
展出繪畫為例
: <我們> - 以世界名牌彩繪刺青人體，似乎要表現全球化的象徵。
然而，身體彩繪刺青標誌的點子早已出現多次， 如<Your Logo Here, photos
from S. Cal. 2004-2006>, 等 .......
同樣體材、難度更高的創意，至少13年前已經出現於<日本讀賣新聞漫畫大賽>大獎作品，
因此研判台灣藝術評析未臻國際一級標準。

美國<紐約時報>(New York Times) <China Tames Rebellious Side of Rock "n" Roll>一文，稱今日大陸的流行音樂
有如文革時期般的順服，歌曲的核心是「娛樂
」，而「文化 」僅是空殼，看不到甚麼不安、 疏離，頂多是最溫和的青少年叛逆。
台灣的流行歌曲，過去在政治壓力下，鮮見批判內涵。
今日商業取向環境下的流行歌曲呢，以「叛逆 」形象著稱的歌手伍佰，與後進
火紅二岸的SHE，各自推出新歌都叫作「
美麗新世界」，歌名同恐怖統治經典小說「
美麗新世界」("Brave New World")， S.H.E. 卻唱的手舞足蹈、開心之極。
這與學術著作稱之"史上最有效的廣告": 美國Apple電腦 <1984>篇
，名稱來自另一部恐怖統治經典小說歐威爾「1984」- 內容貶低恐怖統治，似乎迥然不同。

● 台灣電影 3 大問題 :
(1) 台灣政府長年來總想搞電影政治宣傳 (ref國立中山大學論文)
，最好有助選舉，另一方面電影政策已向美國投降 (ref台灣藝術大學論文)。
電影的創意與藝術羸弱，宣傳效果有限。
(2) 台灣只能搞抽象符號
(台灣人愛錢， 卻拍賺不到錢的藝術電影， 即為答案)，沒有聰慧的創意，即台灣電影死亡的主因
。近年不搞異國或神秘情調，難以獲獎。美國Discovery認為李安<臥虎藏龍>未必算是台片。

以法國Cannes60周年邀請影展為例，台灣二位名導作品巧思不及中國大陸二位名導作品ps。台灣作品演弄符號藝術，效果頂多點的宣傳，無法全面接觸世界。

2011年台灣的賣座片<那些年 我們一起追的女孩>，感覺是趕工出來的作品，有些地方似嫌緩慢，boyish 的幽默大多不夠精巧，屬於壓抑需要紓發、肢體動作笑鬧劇，主要靠喚起青春歲月集體記憶而受歡迎，無法與國際級電影比較。
果然台灣電影在2012金馬獎得到20年來最慘成績。2014年底金馬獎幾乎全輸。

其次才是「文化」。
但我參考GlobalRichList，台灣多數人，年收入美金一萬元已居全球前10%-15%)，其他國際著名雜誌也評論台灣富人多，
